Who is Kate?
A creative life, shared through play
I’m Kate, a UX designer by day, maker and creative by night, and I love creating cosy, playful games that bring people together.
Game design is how I share my creativity with the world, blending all my words together to simple, easy to learn and play games.
When I’m not designing games, you’ll usually find me deep in one of my side quests... sewing, thrifting, gardening and attempting to cook gluten free things. These passions fuel my creativity and often inspire the worlds, themes, and details that show up in my games.
I share a lot of my creative passions through my social media, hence the name, 'when kate creates', it's open and lets me explore lots of different passions.
Why the Bee?
Bees are a perfect reflection of my creative style.
Just as a bee goes from plant to plant, I move between creative projects, each pollinating the next.
Like in my garden, cross-pollinating my skills helps me create in new and unexpected ways.
Bees remind me that having many interests isn’t a distraction, it’s how my creative style continues to grow.
