Cropped!
Cropped! Is a game where players are dealt 'crop cards' which tell them which crops they need to harvest. The twist? The garden is shared, so you have to plant and care for all the crops with enough strategy to be the first to harvest the ones you need.
The idea for this game came from being bored in the car, and my one goal was, how can I make a game where there is something shared in the middle, but have a competitive angle?
I first thought of the garden theme as at the time, I was spending most days in my garden as my summer veges were truly thriving! I really wanted it to have a feel of starting off a bit collaborative, and then ending in a bit of a chaotic race...
Here are some early vesions of the game, the dark brown colour was awful and it delayed me a lot as I couldn't picture it another way.

I then leaned more into the cutesy/cosy colours and the game really came alive. I have enjoyed play testing this a lot, but it feels a long way from feeling 'done'. I have not quite nailed the mechanics beyond 2-3 players, and need to pick a direction!
